To connect two system elements that have already been created, the start element is dragged onto the target element while holding down the control key. If an element is to receive several sequences, the process is performed several times. The first connection will automatically become sequence1, the second sequence2 and so on. If the sequence is to be changed, the connections must first be [[Special:MyLanguage/Systemplan#Verbindungen zwischen Systemelementen löschen|deleted]] and then reestablished in the desired sequence.

If an element should hold several outflows, this process is performed several times. The first connection will automatically become outflow1, the second outflow2, and so on. Um zwei bereits angelegte Systemelemente zu verbinden, wird bei gedrückter Steuerungs-Taste per Drag&Drop das Startelement auf das Zielelement gezogen. Soll ein Element mehrere Abläufe bekommen, wird der Vorgang mehrmals durchgeführt. Die erste Verbindung wird dabei automatisch Ablauf1, die zweite Ablauf2 usw. Soll die Reihenfolge geändert werden, müssen die Verbindungen zunächst wieder [[Special:MyLanguage/Systemplan#Verbindungen zwischen Systemelementen löschen|gelöscht]] und dann in der gewünschten Reihenfolge neu erstellt werden.
Alternativ können über Rechtsklick auf das Startelement -> ''Abläufe'' auch die Ablaufelemente zugeordnet und somit eine Verbindung erstellt werden (s. [[Special:MyLanguage/Fenster der Systemelemente#Allgemeines Fenster der Systemelemente|Reiter Abläufe]]).
